About Whit

My experiences might easily fit many cycling fans' definitions of “living the dream.” Since getting hooked on the sport watching Lance Armstrong win the 1993 U.S. Pro Championship, I've raced as an amateur on Belgian cobbles, traveled Europe to help build a European pro team, and piloted that team from Malaysia to Mont Ventoux. As a former assistant director sportif with Mercury-Viatel, I've also seen the less dreamy side of the sport – the side rife with broken contracts, infighting, and positive dope tests. These days, I live with my lovely wife in Pennsylvania and share my experiences and views on the sport at Bicycling Magazine, the Embrocation Cycling Journal, and at my own site, Pavé.

Congrats on the new digs. I’d appreciate if the RSS feeds could return to showing the full entry rather than excerpts.

Hi Naz! Thanks for the compliments–I checked my settings and it’s set to show the full article–not a summary. Which reader are you using? I’ll be happy to see what I can do.

Hi Whit — I’m using Google Reader for my feeds. I’ve noticed this with a few other WordPress powered sites.

Google Reader does the same for my WP feeds too, Naz. I looked through my settings and I’m not sure there’s anything that can be done. Sorry!

    Hi Whit —

Thanks for looking into it. I dug around a bit and found some possible fixes but I don’t mean to ask you to get into these if you’re not managing or administering your web development.

Thanks for looking into it either way.

    Cheers!

I’ll see what I can do, Naz. I’m not really handling all my “code”, but I’ll try my best.

      Thanks for the tips!
